We supply and install patent glazing in Manchester, greater Manchester and throughout the North West.
Patent glazing is a system that allows glazed glass panels to be placed in a lightweight, no-load-bearing frame of glazing bars. The system does not use epoxy or other sealants to create a watertight seal. Patent glazing systems can be used with either single or double-pane glass. Panes used with patent glazing must be able to withstand wind and snow loads and building movement.
easing the load on your patent glazing system
By using laminate glass as the single pane or the interior pane reduces the danger of broken glass falling. When using a double-pane system, the interior pane is always shorter than the exterior pane, to allow for drainage.
we ensure that your patent glazing is installed for with low maintenance in mind
A minimum slope of a patent glazing system is 15 degrees. If the slope is lesser, dirt builds up in run-off channels and other weather-related issues may occur. This could result in the structure’s failure over time.
